Saprina Allen brings over 30 years of experience in the mortgage and banking industry, including foreclosure, mortgage servicing, underwriting, loan origination, and community development. During the mortgage crisis, she worked closely with organizations such as NeighborWorks America and Neighborhood Housing Services, helping families apply for loan modifications and remain in their homes through homeowner retention programs. This broad background allows her to guide clients with both technical expertise and a strong understanding of housing stability and sustainable homeownership.

What makes your Lender Services unique?
As Community Mortgage Officers, we truly meet people where they are. We understand that not every client is immediately ready for the homebuying process, and we take the time to understand each borrower’s circumstances, challenges, and goals. Our approach focuses on education, preparation, and long-term success, helping families become financially ready and begin building generational wealth. We are deeply committed to our communities and to providing guidance that supports sustainable homeownership.

What geographies, populations, or housing styles do you specialize in?
We specialize in serving low-to-moderate income communities, first-time homebuyers, and individuals with limited or no established credit. Our primary service areas include Central Ohio, Mid-Ohio, Northeast Ohio, and surrounding communities. We work with diverse populations and a wide range of housing styles, with a strong focus on helping borrowers who may face barriers to traditional lending successfully achieve homeownership.

What downpayment savings do you work with?

The down payment assistance programs we work with vary by city and region. Through the bank, we offer Keys First and First Front Door, which provide up to $15,000 in grant assistance and can be layered and stacked with other municipal and community down payment assistance programs when permitted.
In addition, we partner with several local and community programs, including:
• City of Canton – $5,000 Down Payment Assistance Program
• City of Youngstown – $10,000 Down Payment Assistance Program
• Catholic Charities – Additional $2,500 in assistance
• Various programs throughout the greater Cleveland area
While we are less familiar with current Franklin County programs, we are eager to learn and expand our knowledge as we continue to broaden our service area and connect more families to available resources.

Do you offer loans that cater to borrowers with low-to-moderate income?
Yes. Supporting low-to-moderate income borrowers is a core part of our mission as Community Mortgage Officers. We offer a variety of loan programs designed to serve these clients and work closely with each borrower to structure financing that aligns with their financial situation. We also provide credit-building guidance, manual underwriting when appropriate, and the use of layered down payment assistance to make homeownership accessible and sustainable.

Apart from English, do you have any other language competencies?
At this time, our primary language of service is English.

Have you worked with clients who have Housing Choice vouchers?
Yes. We have experience working with clients who have Housing Choice (Section 8) vouchers after they have completed HUD-approved homeownership and training programs. This includes successful transactions in both the Toledo and Canton areas. We are familiar with coordinating with housing authorities and supporting voucher holders through the transition into homeownership.
